FKP Architecture was asked to restore Belfield House, which was originally built in 1801 for the La Touche banking family, and its neighbouring stables. The project called for the conservation of the original mansion and a sensitive contemporary intervention next to it. The original character and fine plasterwork of Belfield House were restored to provide research, lecture and reception facilities for the Clinton Institute of American Studies.
