FKP has been appointed by UCD to design the new Student Complex between the
existing Student Centre and Sports Centre. The presence of these two existing buildings
embodies the dual nature of the proposed development which is to become a
state of the art student facility incorporating recreational and leisure uses.

Core elements in the representative / student side are: the debating chamber (250
persons), cinema (135 persons), black box theatre (125 persons), dance studio and
medical centre.

The proposed sports / leisure uses include new 50m FINA standard swimming pool
and 1500sq.m fitness centre.
