The site is located at the western edge of Skerries village and consists of the following:
- 544 dwellings (70 no. 1 bedroom apartments, 406 no. 2 bedroom apartments, 40 no.
3 bed duplex units, 28 no. 4 bedroom town houses);
- an urban centre over two and three stories comprises a civic plaza, 7 no. office suites,
retail units, restaurant, off licence, community centre, gym and medical centre
(5535 sq. m.);
- crèche (284 sq. m.), reserved school site; landscaped open space, playing fields,
children’s playground, pedestrian and cycle routes; and;
- a total of 962 car parking spaces are provided to serve the development (389 surface /
573 underground).
- access roads and the provision of a distributor road linking the Townparks Distributor
Road and the Skerries-Balbriggan Road (R127);
The proposed residential design includes high quality finishes. The proposed buildings
are light in appearance with large glazed areas. The principle material proposed are low
pitched zinc roofs, off white self finished render and Alu-wood (i.e. grey coloured aluminum)
Balconies are proposed to be fully glazed through to emphasis the light and transparent
nature of the design.
