Job Description

Fitzgerald Kavanagh + Partners have an opportunity for an enthusiastic Architect to join our team, to work on a variety of commercial, conservation, social housing, and public sector projects. The candidate will be involved in leading projects at all stages, with opportunities for career advancement and ongoing continuing professional development.

Applicants should have minimum 3 years post-graduate experience, be self-motivated, with excellent communication, team collaboration and organisational skills, and be committed to delivering projects to the highest level of design and technical detail.

Job Requirements:

  • Architect with ideally minimum 3 years post qualification work experience.  Candidates should be on the RIAI register / eligible to seek registration as an Architect without further assessment.
  • Applicants should have a passion for architectural design, demonstrate high level design skills and design development ability
  • Demonstration of ability to develop and apply architectural designs through good detailing and construction knowledge
  • Applicants should have an ability to multi task and manage projects at various work stages
  • Applicants should have a strong working knowledge of the Statutory Consent processes (Planning, FSCA, DAC), current Building Regulations, and the BC(A)R process
  • Applicants should demonstrate good presentation / graphic skills & 2D / 3D drafting skills. Proficiency with Autocad, Sketchup, Adobe Creative Suite. Knowledge of Revit / BIM would be useful
  • Conservation experience preferable but not essential

 

Communication requirements

  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Excellent team working and organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to liaise directly with clients, staff and consultants (in person, phone, email, letter and reports).
