The overall master plan and development includes extensive improvement works to the grounds and public areas within and around the Irish Life Centre, including works within the curtilage of a protected structure. The works include: general resurfacing, lighting, signage, and landscaping throughout; relocation of the Oisin Kelly “Chariot of Life” sculpture and fountain within the plaza; enlargement of public space to Northumberland Square along with feature entrance canopy; New entrance and access arrangements to the public carpark, mall area, and leisure centre; new retail units; reconfiguration of existing steps / access routes / boundary treatments to various areas.
